Competing the number of Iwate’s famous product, wanko soba, that were eaten, [Japan’s 24th Wanko Soba ChampionShip] was held in Morioka City. This time, a 45 years-old woman from Morioka City ate 399 bowls, and she was the first to have won in 3 consecutive times. This woman, because she’s an experienced winner, was given a strict condition like the previous year, which was to have only 10 minutes, 5 minutes less time than the other people. Kanagawa City’s park association etc was producing original lunch-box meals using shiitake that were cultivated in the Chigasaki Satoyama Park. Other than using the minced harvested shiitake for takikomi gohan, carrots, bamboo shoot, etc were stewed, and also made into gameni. It is on sale on the 22th (Sunday), at Chigasaki Satoyama Park, from 11.30 am, limited to 20 meals, and it seems that it will end when it’s sold out.
